About Google AMP

Google AMP or Accelerated Mobile Pages is an open source project from Google to help publishers/webmasters make mobile web pages super fast as lightning.

The AMP page consists of the following 3 components:

AMP HTML

AMP HTML is normal HTML with some restrictions on the use of tags and also there are several custom tags specifically for AMP pages

AMP JS

AMP JS is a JavaScript library to ensure AMP pages can function properly and are always fast when accessed.

AMP Cache

Google AMP Cache is a cache provided to store AMP pages so that they can be accessed as fast as lightning.

AMP pages indexed by Google will be marked with a lightning icon on Google search results
